Summary of Dispute

I had AAA tow van to dealership due to a starting issue. They had it for 7 days and I ended up diagnosing it myself with Youtube, brought in a ignition switch which they installed and sure enough it worked. For what they did, which wasn't necessary or signed for they charged me $653.72 cents for basically installing MY ignition switch that was readily accessible because I had removed all of the trim from the steering column and all that it took to replace is two screws and a wiring harness plug. The replaced a relay that wasn't bad and some parts in the column itself that were word because they "had to eliminate possibilities" according to the mechanic. The part the replaced had nothing to do with the van starting. The ignition switch was the culprit and should have been diagnosed in way less then 7 days. They charged me for parts I didn't need and labor to put those uneeded parts in and I want a refund of at least $400 from them.

Summary of Transaction Venue's Actions

The service manager was very rude to me eliciting some rude responses back from me and the general manager sided with his service department telling me that "it was my OPINION" that the parts that were changed weren't needed. And yet I had driven the van for over 10 years with worn shift lever bushings. It was the IGNITION SWITCH. Nothing else.
