Summary of Dispute

Not one , but two classic cars were damaged and I took both my classic cars, one a 64 Impala wagon and the second was a 57 chevy bel air. Both cars were supposed to be repaired properly, but, on the 64, paint peeled, and while at first aV took care of the problem, later, not only did we find more cracked paint on roof, but the excuse from the owner was that there was rust on roof. My question was and is "Why paint over rust.? 2. There's a roof rack on 64 wagon. When re constructed, we noticed that all screws holding roof rack were too small, thus, washing the car allowed water to permeate roof. 2. they left a small blemish in paint and while I was told it would be taken care of, the time frame was ridiculous. 3 months. on the 57. AV just spread filler over the dents. Scratched the stainless triim, left gaps in rear window trim which destroyed the package tray beneath rear window. As the doors were taken apart, dust from sanding destroyed both window motors. Lots more.

Summary of Transaction Venue's Actions

On m 64 Wagon. I finally took it to another body shop in which they repainted the roof and found the proper screws to hold down the luggage rack. But. Because this car sat at their shop for so long, engine parts rusted out, and again, it cost me about 2500 dollars to repair roof and rear blemish. Also doors were not aligned properly and, besides that, door seals were rotted out. On 57 . The shop gave the excuses that old body work was the cause of paint peeling. Well then, why wasn't the old body work sanded off and properly repainted. The 57 sat outside, stainless an door panels thrown haphazardly in open trunk area which not only damaged door panels but scratched much of the stainless. AV paid for some new parts but not all and, again, I had to take my 57 to another shop for completion because I was told by Jesse Elonzondo that the shop did not have qualified workers to repair my 57. Plus the car was there for about 4 plus years, just sitting. I'm out over 5000.
